100 Mile Club 2026-27

Welcome to the 2026-2027 Season of 100 Mile Club at Parmalee!

As in past years, 100MC will be held after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:35pm-3:05pm. The first day of 100MC will be Tuesday, October 6, 2026. The last day of running will be Thursday, April 29, 2026 with a final awards ceremony/celebration on Tuesday, May 4, 2026. That's 50 days (25 hours) of running and after-school fun!

Again this year, we are asking parents and guardians to please volunteer twice throughout the year. The more eyes we have on the course the smoother the program runs! You are welcome to run with your students, help out scanning as they complete laps or just monitor the course. Any and all help for thirty minutes on Tuesdays and Thursdays is greatly appreciated! If we do not have enough volunteers we may need to cancel on days we don't have enough adults. 100MC success depends on volunteers!

There are FOUR STEPS TO REGISTER your student for 100 Mile Club:

1. Complete the emergency contact information and additional adults approved to pick-up your student after 100 Mile Club. If you have multiple children participating, please complete one form for each child.

2. Please select two or more days that you can volunteer with 100MC. If you cannot commit at this time, we will reach out to you during the school year.

3. CAREFULLY read and sign the Code of Conduct below.

4. Pay the $25 fee per student through the link at the bottom of this form (one for each participating child). You must choose "1" in the Registration Fee box before submitting from. Once you complete the entire form and submit it, the 100MC fee will be automatically loaded into your cart. You will be redirected to the PTA homepage where you can find your CART at the top of the page, next to your NAME and LOGOUT tabs. If you have additional children to register, a prompt will be shown in your cart to complete a form for any additional students you have registered with Membership Toolkit.

Students will have to be fully registered with 100 Mile Club and have their $25 fee paid by 10/06/26 in order to participate! 100 MC will Kick Off on Tuesday, October 6 at 2:35!  Students who are not fully registered and have not paid will not be able to participate and will be taken to the office to await pick up.

For more information, email the Parmalee 100 Mile Club parent volunteers at 100MC@ParmaleePTA.org.

Code of Conduct (1-10)
1/10

CODE OF CONDUCT (1 of 10)

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

This is a VOLUNTEER LED PROGRAM: We are here because we want to help kids to be active and to learn how to work toward long term goals. As volunteers, please keep in mind that we also have jobs and families and many responsibilities outside of 100 Mile Club and operate from a space of mutual respect. Because my child is participating in 100MC, I will volunteer at 100 Mile Club at least two times during the school year.

2/10

CODE OF CONDUCT (2 of 10)

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

This is NOT AN AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE PROGRAM: Students who refuse to actively participate in laps will be given a task related to 100MC (scanning armbands, sweeping the blacktop, picking up trash, etc.). There will be no sitting on the blacktop, no Pokemon card trading, no playing on the playground. If you have multiple children at Parmalee and they are not all interested in participating in 100 MC, we ask that you please find other after school care for your students who are uninterested in 100 MC.

CODE OF CONDUCT (3 of 10)

PARTICIPATION IS THE EXPECTATION: This is an active athletic club. We will be working with the kids to set goals for themselves. We believe that every student is capable of getting at least 5 laps (1 mile) and the older students are capable of closer to 10 laps (2 miles) in the 30 minute timeframe.

CODE OF CONDUCT (4 of 10)

NEW THREE STRIKES POLICY: Last year, we had some repetitive behavior problems that will not be tolerated this year. If volunteers have to redirect the same student three times (three strikes) in one run club session, they will be sidelined and given a task.

First and foremost, we have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for physical contact of any kind. This is a club for walking and running laps. Physical Contact results in a strike.

Using the 100MC arm bands in any manner that is not an arm band will result in a strike.

General unkind and unsportsmanlike behavior will result in a strike.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE: While we are lucky to have a team of dedicated volunteers to run this program they cannot be everywhere at all times. We are asking that one parent or guardian for each student volunteer at 100MC at least twice this year. When a parent is in attendance, they are expected to be an extra set of eyes and ears to monitor behavior and correct if necessary.

RUN CLUB ARM BANDS: Run Club Arm Bands will be given to students at the beginning of each run club. Students are responsible for turning their arm bands in at the end of run club. We understand that accidents happen, but repetitive loss and/or intentional destruction of arm bands will result in a $5 replacement fee per arm band. Please help encourage your child to be responsible.

PICK UP POLICY: Please be on the blacktop and ready to sign-out your child no later than 3pm. Students not picked up by 3:05pm will assist volunteers with clean-up. Parents that are late more than twice will be required to register their student for Innovation Learning. If the parent is late again, the student will be sent to Innovation Learning where they will be charged the daily drop-in rate.

If your student is going straight from Run Club to another after-school program at Parmalee, please make sure your child knows what the plan is and we will escort students there after run club.

BONUS MILEAGE OPPORTUNITIES: New this year, students can earn unlimited bonus miles outside of 100MC. Your runner will have the option of completing independent bonus runs/hikes EACH month. Any distance qualifies and no GPS proof is required. Simply keep a monthly tally and email your child's name and the total number of miles to 100MC@ParmaleePTA.org before the last day of each month. Please do not include daily step counts. We just want to encourage children to be active! Bonus Miles will be added to your runner’s total mileage the first week of each month.

REWARDS AND MILEAGE UPDATES: Milestones (25 miles, 50 miles, 75 miles, and 100 miles) will be announced and prizes given the first Tuesday of each month at 100MC. Mileage updates will be posted on the school's bulletin board on the first Tuesday of each month.

SPORTSMANSHIP: Beyond running laps and reaching goals, our aim for this school year is to promote a team-like spirit among our runners. We want to encourage each other, help each other, be kind to each other, and work together, as a team, to reach goals. Behavior that is contrary to this goal will not be tolerated.
